Heavy duty twist movement to remove stubborn links. Most link removers use a small handle, but this larger model makes it easier to remove links. Twist design makes it easy to remove or add links to your watch band. Every watch collector needs a watch adjuster as part of their collection. Stop wasting money taking it to a jewler when you can do it yourself. It pays for itself after 2 uses. Easily alter your watch at home without scratching the band.

"Difficulty with the watch link remover" 2010-02-02
By mhchodog
I bought the device to re size an Invicta watch bracelet. The bracelet may be a bit wider than average, and barely fit into the bed of the device. Therefore, it was more difficult to make sure the device bit was advancing straight with respect to the pin. Although the direction was correct with respect to the arrow, the 1st bit bent. Well OK, chalk that one up to experience, and use one of the 5 additional bits supplied in a plastic bag. New issue, those other bits don't screw into the device beyond 1/4 turn, the threads appear different from the original bit. The bits stay attached, but the incompletely secured bits make the device more rickety. Another issue, while working near the clasp, the bracelet with the additional width of the clasp didn't secure in the device bed.

After removing a couple of pins, further away from the clasp, successfully with the device, I switched over to a freestading Jewelers screwwdriver with a 0.7 mm star bit and a small tack hammer to tap the back of the screwdriver. I found this easier, including the pins near the clasp.

Conclusion: Particularly if you have a wider band, consider using a .7 mm round or star bit in a small jeweler's screwdriver handle. Split pins are tight, you will need to tap the screwdriver with a small hammer.

If you are uncomfortable with this freestyle approach, consider buying a higher quality link remover with perhaps a wider or adjustable bed for the band and bits that screw into the device without fail instead of these mismatched standard bits that only screw in 1/4 turn.

By Carol Lee (CA)
This tool is amazing! Just this one tool, which cost me a few dollars, allowed me to remove watch links so easily. I recommend everyone to have one of these at home, because you never know when you'll need to remove a link from your watch or even your friends. Its simple to use and works perfectly. No need to go to a watch store anymore - you can do it yourself.

"SE Link Remover Review" 2010-01-30
By Robert N. Yamazaki (Silver Spring, MD)
The link remover was easy to use and allowed me to remove two links from a Seiko watchband in about 10 minutes. It worked as advertised. The user needs to understand that precision line up of the link pins is required and to remove them in the direction of the arrows on the links.

"for the price- good bargain" 2010-01-28

Very basic yet functional tool, does the job well. While it is mostly made of plastic, built well enough to do as it was intended for.
